We're Back!

After 6 days in Florida, we are back home. We had a great time down there! The weather was amazing - 85 degrees and sunny everyday. The first day we went to a beach on the eastern coast of Florida. It was amazing - white sand and beautiful waves. What a great way to start a vacation! Then we spent 4 1/2 days walking for miles on end around Epcot, Animal Kingdom, MGM, and Magic Kingdom. It was not the most restful vacation, but seeing the kids faces light up and seeing them skip all over the parks was priceless! Some of the best memories are of Hailey screaming her lungs out on her first roller coaster ride. Here are a few pictures from the trip...

Finally!

I've been wanting to post about this for a long time, but I didn't want to risk the kids hearing about it from someone. In the morning we fly to Orlando for a weeklong trip to Disney. The best part is the kids have absolutely NO IDEA! Last year we told the kids that we would try and go to Disney this summer with some friends. Well, that fell through, but we found an amazing deal for the end of March. So we decided to go ahead with that plan but leave the kids to wonder when we were really going. The cool part about this is that we have been able to talk with the kids about how fun Disney will be. As of right now they think we are still going in August.

It has been so hard not to say anything to the kids. Even tonight during dinner JR said something about closing the curtains to the house while we are gone. Ethan asked where we were going. JR said he was talking about going to work and Ethan bought it. It amazes me that the kids don't have a clue.

After they went to bed tonight we took our dog over to JR's parents house. My dad is picking us up in the morning and we have all of our luggage in the garage so they won't even see it until we unload it at the airport. It's going to be so fun to see their faces when they realize where we are going...

Our new niece!

JR's sister had her first baby the end of February. We went up to Grand Rapids to see them about a week after she was born. Needless to say Hailey was completely smitten by her new cousin. In fact, She wouldn't let anyone hold her for more than 5 minutes before she begged to have her back. Here are a few pictures of Hailey and Zoya...
