My little baker

Hailey loves to help me bake. When my parents were staying with us a month or so ago, my mom realized how much time Hailey spent in the kitchen with me. Somewhere my mom found this little apron for Hailey to wear. JR requested some chocolate chip cookies for dessert tonight, so Hailey and I made him some. Here's a cute picture I took of her helping me bake.

A little late-night game?

So last night we put the kids to bed just like any other night. For those of you who haven't been to our house, the kids sleep on the main floor on one side of our house and we sleep on the second floor on the other side of the house. We have a bathroom pretty much right under our bedroom. I was awaken at 3:30am by Hailey whispering "Ethan". I sleep very light, so it doesn't take much to wake me up. They were taking turns in the bathroom. I thought this was a little weird, but thought maybe it was just a coincidence that they both got up at the same time to go to the bathroom. I listened for a few minutes and decided that maybe I should go downstairs and just check on them. I walk downstairs and see that Hailey's light is on and Ethan is not in his bed. Well, this is what I saw when I went into Hailey's Room...

Apparently Ethan had woke up and decided that he couldn't go back to sleep. What else would an older brother do than go wake up his sister so they could play a rousing game of Monopoly at 3:30 in the morning! It took me a good 20 minutes to convince them that they really needed to go back to sleep. An hour later, Hailey was still awake. Kids... they make me laugh!

Valentine's Day Dance

Last night was the 2nd annual Riverview Valentine's Day Dance. I have to say that this years dance was so much better than last year. Having twice the people made a world of difference. It seemed like everyone had a lot of fun and even met some new people. Here are some pictures from the evening...

We had a limbo contest - the last two left were Ray Tan and Donna Bashore. They were both really amazing.

Donna ended up winning.

We also had a drawing for king and queen of the night. George and Lori Squillace won!

Here are pictures of some of the couple that were there last night.

Preggo? NO!!

For any of you that have read JR's blog in the last week, I think there may be some confusion I need to clear up... I am NOT pregnant!! If you only read the first few paragraphs, you would think I was. However, the thing we were expecting was a computer. Not a child. A lot of people only read the first half and didn't read the last half. Some people actually left comments on his blog congratulating us. It just made me laugh. Just wanted to clear up any confusion - no babies in our future...
