50th Anniversary Party

My parents celebrated their 50th anniversary this April. On Monday night, we had a little party for them at Hershey's Restaurant. Very expensive food, but the night went really well. We had a mini wedding cake for them to feed to each other, a book of pictures and memories from friends and family around the country, and a slide show that my uncle put together for them. Here are my folks...

After dinner, we went to the Children's Garden at MSU. It had been a long time since I had been there - totally forgot what a beautiful place that was. Here are some pictures from there:

Birthday Wishes

Hailey turns 4 on August 3rd, so lately we've been asking her what she would like for her birthday. Her first answer to JR was a diamond ring just like mommy has. I asked her and she said diamond earrings. It continued to go downhill from there. Next was a diamond bracelet and necklace. Boy, I hope she marries a man with money...

Chi Town

Jr, Wendy, Joel and I made a quick day trip to Chicago yesterday to celebrate Joel and Wendy's birthday. Oh my gosh was it fun. We walked around the "Magnificent Mile" and did a little shopping. The whole point of the trip was to get some Giordano's Pizza. Boy was it good! After we ate the boys went into Borders and took a nap while Wendy and I did some more "girly" shopping. When we were walking back to our car, this black guy came up and started talking with JR asking for some money. We didn't give him any, but he wouldn't give up. He saw that we had a bag from Giordano's and asked if we had some pizza. JR broke down and told the guy he could have a slice of our pizza. As JR was opening the bag, he asked the guy if he liked spinach pizza. Well, the guy kinda went off. He kept yelling, "I can't believe you got spinach pizza. Who gets spinach on their pizza. I don't want spinach on my pizza, who do you think I am, Popeye?" We kept walking towards our car and the guys was still rambling on about how mad he was that he almost got some good pizza but how we ruined it by putting spinach on it.

I will hopefully post some pictures tonight.

4th of July Fun

We went to Mason with my family to see fireworks this year. We happened to run into Emmy which Hailey was very excited about. The girls would jump up and down and scream everytime fireworks would go off.
