Test Results

So I got the results from my bloodwork and I don't have Lupus. This is a good thing. Bad thing is now the Dr. doesn't know why I am feeling the way I am. Guess I'll just adjust to being so tired all the time.

Kids Kamp is over now. The week went great and I had a blast. I can say that now - if you would have asked me on Monday morning I would have given you a different answer. It was so cool to see how excited the kids were every morning to come. I got to meet a lot of the volunteers which was nice. I know all these people's faces, and I recognize their names, but now I know what face goes with what name. It is a good thing.

I am currently having a "slumber party" with 5 of my neices. Some of us went out to dinner at the crepe shop and back to watch movies and eat popcorn. It is a fun time. Don't know how long I am going to last considering I was ready for bed at 8:30! :)

To top it all off, I got sick last night. Scratchy throat, yucky nose and just feeling achy all over. Guess that's what I get for the little bit of sleep I have gotten the last 2 weeks.

Well, off to try and drug myself up so I can last a couple more hours with the girls.

My Oh My What A Wonderful Day

I am in the Detroit area now with my family. We are staying in a really nice hotel and went to the Henry Ford Museum today. We were planning on going to Greenfield Village, but seeing that it was 95+ degrees outside today, we thought otherwise. We had a really good time. I have some really cute pictures that I will post after I get home. The coolest thing is the hotel is right next to a huge YMCA. We all went there last night and worked out/swam for about 2 1/2 hours. The equiptment there was amazing. Every maching had a little computer on it. Needles to say it was much nicer than the YMCA I normally go to. The pool had a big water slide and all kinds of fun water fountains in it. It's going to be a bit boring going back to my normal one.

So about 2 weeks ago I went to the doctor because I was feeling so tired and not myself. Last week I got a call that some of my blood work came back questionable and that I needed to come back in for some more test. I went back on Thursday to find out what was wrong. Wendy came with me for moral support - it was really nice to have her there. Wow - she learned more about me than she ever wanted to know... sorry Wendy! :)

I found out that I have some kind of Auto-immune disease. The doctor thinks it might be Lupus. He did more bloodwork and I should know something more in the next week or so. I don't know a whole lot about Lupus and the Doctor didn't go into too much detail just because he wasn't 100% sure that's what I have. So, the waiting game continues. I'll post when I find out more about what I've got.

So I am off to Detroit with hubby and kids, my parents, my sister and her family and my brother and his family. We are going to go chill out and do some shopping tonight and then to Greenfield Village on Friday. Should be a fun trip. I will post some pictures when I get back.

After Kids Kamp is over next week, I promise I will start posting more. I accepted a part time position with the Children's Ministry at church. I am very excited about that! I have a feeling that it will be taking a lot of my time while I learn the ropes for the next few weeks.
